- I have an Aspen 28.8 28IDSSA modem in one of our PC's which seems to work fine
- with faxing, and also with BBS-type connections at up to 19.2 kbps. When I
- try to use it with PPP, it runs for about 3 minutes and invariably fails. The
- Winsock screen usually shows comm overruns. I've talked to Aspen tech support
- about a modem initialization string for PPP; they suggest AT&F, which doesn't
- really give me much help. I'm using a high speed COMM.DRV replacement which
- seems to work fine on other Pentiums and 486's.
-
- Does anyone have one of these internal modems working reliably with PPP? If
- so, what AT init settings are you using?
-
